Computer Science Graduate Council Meeting Notes – February 10th , 2006
GSA
- Green Fee major topic:
- This is a comprehensive fee that would be to make the buildings more energy efficient.
- Saving on energy of about $36,000 but it costs only $25,000 per floor.
- Should be only an initial investment made instead of a continuous amount put in by the students and the amount saved should be put towards doing other floors.
- The green fee can change year by year
- There were comparisons to UVA's green fee but UVA does different things than we are trying to do
- Also green fee to pay for recycling bins for each room.
