Grad Council Meeting: 10-24-03

Issues discussed

1. Dues – Hussein collected dues at the ethnic dinner. He will continue to collect dues throughout the semester.

2. John Lucas and Christine Lee have volunteered to run for the new student representative position. We will be holding elections starting 10/27/03.

3. The CRC meetings have been adjusted, so that Divya can attend them. Currently, the CRC is discussing putting pay printers in the CS graduate lab.

4. The first seminar in the seminar series was successful; approximately 30 people attended.

5. Travel Funding – The Graduate Council approved travel funding for the following students: Mohammed Salman Akram, Anil Bazaz, Kibum Kim, Zhiyan Shao, Liya Thomas.

6. We have elected Chad Wingrave as the College of Engineering representative.
