1. The new members assumed the following duties:

president, social chair
- Umer – treasurer, awards and recognition
- Kristin
– superuser, faculty representative, social
chair
- Divya – GSA representative, CRC representative
- Sumit – GSA representative, seminar coordinator
- Sourabh – GPC representative, interior minister
- Jon –
scribe, webmaster
2. The council proposed the following tentative goals for
the next year:
- To
increase research visibility
- To
hold bimonthly meetings to talk with graduate students about the state of
the department
- To
promote service within the community
