The next meeting is scheduled for Friday, May 5, 2000 at 7 p.m. The meeting will be held in McBryde 655. Light refreshments will be served.                           The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the results of the student surveys distributed on April 28, 2000. The meeting will also serve as a brainstorming session.

Graduate Program Committee:

Dr. Shaffer may allow two seats for Graduate Council members on the GPC.

If two seats become available, appointments shall be as listed above. If only 1 member may be appointed to GPC, Graduate Council will decide whom will be appointed.

A Faculty Candidate Student Coordinator position was unofficially created.

The responsibilities for this position will be shared by Nathan Conklin and

Ragavan Srinivasan. Responsibilities include: helping Dr. Shaffer to organize

faculty candidate presentations, notifying graduate students of these presentations,

creating a faculty candidate survey, and presenting survey results to Dr. Shaffer.
