Representative

Open positions will be discussed at the May 2, 2000 meeting, and determined by May 5,  2000.  Each candidate will have a final opportunity to discuss                    why he/she is the best choice for this particular position.

Clean up:

Discussion was held regarding whether or not an end of semester clean-up should be held in the CS grad lab. Due to a May 5, 2000 project deadline for CS 5516, clean-up has been postponed until beginning of fall semester.

Graduate Dues:

Cheryl is responsible for collecting graduate dues. Each graduate student is asked to pay $5.00 dues per year.

Newly elected Treasurer will need to contact Cheryl Seals to determine how much money remains in the CS Grad Council account.

Web Page Updates:

Newly elected Scribe Kimberly Woods will take responsibility for updating and redesigning the CS Grad Council web page after May 5, 2000. Input is requested from all Council members.

An online form for questions/comments for graduate students will be available on the new site.

Newsletter/Logo:

Preliminary design sketches for the CS Grad Council Logo and the newsletter were distributed to all Council members. Members will decide on a logo, submit alternative logos, and make comments/suggestions on the newsletter during Friday’s meeting.
